## About Hermle Clock Movements

Hermle clock movements are among the finest movements made in the modern times. The German made [Hermle](https://hermleclock.com/) units typically work night and day for 30 years without much complaint.

To go and get it [restored](/clock-repair/mechanical-clock-movement-restoration.html) like normally would with any clock after a long time, it is found that is cost is high. This is for good reason as it can be a large task to restore it.

### Movement grades

All the [Hermle](/clock-movement/hermle-clock-movement.html) clock movements [Clockworks](https://www.clockworks.com/) offers is the best grade. In other words there are a couple styles some units have that are not as good as others. There are various movements that have more than one grade.

Some units can have plastic for the hour hand tube and the next wheel down, instead the better brass. Meanwhile the number is the same for both grades. In other words there is the economy grade and there is the full grade, on some movement series.

### What will be received

Each one of the these fine Hermle clock [movements](/clock-movement/hermle-clock-movement.html) come already [oiled](/product/clock-oil-with-oiler), will come with the [hand nut](/product/german-clock-hand-nuts) also.

If it is a [pendulum](/clock-parts/german-mechanical-clock-pendulums.html) style clock, it will come with the [suspension spring](/product/clock-pendulum-suspension-spring-hanger) and the [pendulum hanger (leader)](/product/clock-pendulum-leader).

If its a weight driven clock, it will come with new [chains](/product/grandfather-grandmother-clock-chain) or [cables](/product/genuine-replacement-cable-for-grandfather-clocks) and with [pulleys](/product/mechanical-clock-weight-pulley).

So this will be the movement with its hammer assemble on.

This is the complete movement that comes out of the clock. No [weights](/clock-parts/mechanical-grandfather-clock-weights.html), [pendulum](/clock-parts/clock-pendulums.html), [chime block](/clock-parts/mechanical-clock-chimeblock-and-rods.html), [hands](/clock-parts/clock-hands.html), [dial](/clock-parts/clock-dials.html) all this is already present usually.

The movements go out the next business day unless there is something we have to do to it such as a regear.
