Clockworks International Order Fulfillment
Clockworks International Order Fulfillment
Clockworks International Order Fulfillment is an option for our products, however there are some guidelines to go by in order to provide this service.
International Shipping Method Used
Clockworks is in the USA. We do offer worldwide shipping. The weight of the item(s) and the destination will dictate the cost of the shipping. All international orders ship via US Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail or UPS Standard (if available). These are the most reliable services to ensure the package arrives safely and includes insurance to cover losses if they occur. Unfortunately, we no longer offer First Class International shipping due to its unreliability and lack of tracking or insurance options.
Priority Mail international shipping typically takes 6-10 business days. It is a reliable service and includes insurance coverage. UPS Standard, if available, offers a similarly reliable service with tracking and insurance options. Both methods are chosen to ensure your order arrives as expected and provide recourse in the rare case of a shipping issue.
Clockworks Cart Calculations
If ordering a large amount of items, or items that are heavy (such as clock weights or a clock movement), the shopping cart does not always calculate the correct amount for shipping. If encountering an error upon checkout, please email us. We will create an invoice and email a secure payment link to pay for the item(s).
Clockworks is Not Responsible
Orders that ship outside the United States may be subject to import taxes, customs duties, and fees levied by the destination country. These additional charges for customs clearance must be paid by the customer. Clockworks has no control over these charges, nor can Clockworks predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country. Please contact the local customs office for more information. European customers please read the next section.
All international packages are sent out as merchandise and with a value of the contents. What each country does with that information is not known to us. So it is the customer’s responsibility to pay any fees associated with an international purchase. The customer is also responsible for all shipping charges. This includes any errors that may occur. The customer is responsible to pay the shipping of the product whether it is coming or going.
European Countries - VAT
It has come to our attention that the European government has imposed a VAT tax on all incoming packages. Clockworks is not required at this time to have a VAT number. Therefore, we do not charge VAT tax on any purchase. As stated in the above section, the only charges above and beyond the cost of the merchandise that we charge are any and all shipping fees. Any VAT tax that may be due is the responsibility of the customer when the package goes through customs.
Out of Clockworks Hands
When an order is placed and we ship it out, our job has been completed. Please understand that we are a small business and cannot absorb any extra cost. So, in other words, all expenses, all risks, all customs fees, all shipment costs, are on the customer.
International Package Theft
Clockworks has sent an incredible amount of products to certain countries and people just do not get what we send. If ordering from a country that is dealing with issues on postal theft, we cannot take responsibility for this on our end. Again, we are a small company and just cannot absorb this sort of expense. Specifically, two countries that we cannot ship to any longer because of these problems are South Africa and Brazil.
