## Hermle 261 clock movement

This is a nice [chain](https://www.clockworks.com/product/clock-chain-by-movement-maker) driven wall clock movement. The screw or nail in the wall will have to take some weight so be sure it's well anchored. There are two weights hanging on this movement. Each weighing close to 5 lbs each. This unit was used in the Dutch style clocks with the pear weights. Subsequently it is a good replacement for the same using the 261-080 movement.

### The movement

Correspondingly, if you order the clock movement, you are ordering just that. Once the [weights](https://www.clockworks.com/product/polished-clock-weight) and [pendulum](https://www.clockworks.com/product/wood-stick-pendulum-for-hermle-clocks) are off, and the [hands](https://www.clockworks.com/product/serpentine-hands-for-german-mechanical-clocks) out of the way, there are only two screws underneath the movement to remove. The movement comes out and the new one goes in. Comes with instructions and a factory 3 year warranty. Now even if there are questions long after the warranty expires, even years later, if you have a question we will answer and help with the clock. ### The speed

Movement restoration instead of getting the new one will cause to spend 2 or 3 times the cost of the new movement. The old unit can't possibly be restored to the point of being in a better condition than a brand new one. Get the movement in a few days, instead of waiting a few months.
